Sun & Splinters

It was a sunny and short but satisfying day and a half spent at Possum Kingdom Lake this past Saturday and Sunday. We commemorated a half century of life as Jacob's uncle Billy (Bubba to the fam) turned 50 years young.

The festivities included jet skis, hamburgers, family, sun, a boat, veggie burgers, splinters, tennis, cards, a poem, Uno, a potential broken rib, pies, life jackets, sunscreen, and more!

It was quite a time, cut short for the two of us, as we scampered back to Denton in order to "get some things done". Which, I will have you know (you Doubting-Thomases of the family), we DID!

We gathered and arranged our engagment party gifts, bought groceries, one of us did homework, and we watched "Bee Movie", our most recent acquisition from Netflix .

Highly productive.

Sounds like ya'll were having fun this past weekend while us East of ya'll were hard at work. Just to let ya'll know the front yard looks nothing like it did, back yard looks about the same, not quite. House is being painted by Doug, yard and outside furniture is being cleaned by Lynn and yours truly, Larry has been doing the honey-do list...all for the special day. Can't wait to see ya'll. Getting excited!!!
