Amanda Is Better Than Jacob At Tennis

Hello all, Amanda here.

So, I'm a tennis pro now-a-days. Every single time Jacob and I go out to hit around I end up injuring him with my superior athletic ability.

I started learning this game about a month ago and now I've surpassed my only competition. Sigh.

Maybe he'd be a lot better at tennis if he got onto this webpage and made himself sound really, really good... like I'm doing.

Marriage License

We got our marriage license. Now all we have to do is make sure we remember to bring it to the wedding. Ha... ha?

Sun & Splinters

It was a sunny and short but satisfying day and a half spent at Possum Kingdom Lake this past Saturday and Sunday. We commemorated a half century of life as Jacob's uncle Billy (Bubba to the fam) turned 50 years young.

The festivities included jet skis, hamburgers, family, sun, a boat, veggie burgers, splinters, tennis, cards, a poem, Uno, a potential broken rib, pies, life jackets, sunscreen, and more!

It was quite a time, cut short for the two of us, as we scampered back to Denton in order to "get some things done". Which, I will have you know (you Doubting-Thomases of the family), we DID!

We gathered and arranged our engagment party gifts, bought groceries, one of us did homework, and we watched "Bee Movie", our most recent acquisition from Netflix .

Highly productive.

Our New Addition (this blog)

With less than one month remaining until the date that we almost-Boyds will be exchanging wedding vows and jumping headfirst in merrily married-ment, we have created this blog as a means to give you (our friends and family) the newest, most exclusive, uniquely fashionable, and highly coveted look into our lives. Search no further than right here (www.JamandaBoyd.blogspot.com) for all of your Jacob and Amanda (almost) Boyd highlights and insights.

“What is a blog?” you ask. Or maybe you don’t ask. At any rate, here are a few definitions:

Blog:
-An online diary; a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a Web page; also called web log. Typically updated daily, blogs often reflect the personality of the author
-A blog is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order
-An online journal

We hope to keep this ye old blog updated weekly or bi-weekly; perhaps tri-weekly if Amanda is feeling particularly bored at work. Please stop by at your leisure to look, read, comment, and become generally well-versed in the Jamanda (Jacob-Amanda) life.
